Wednesday to Sunday: 10.00am-4.00pm Last Admission: 3.15pm Please note, we are cashless and only accept card payments. This allows us to spend more money on restoration and less money on administration!

Getting Here

The House is a short journey from Junction 35 of the M1. For sat nav users, please use postcode S62 7TQ.

The entrance to Wentworth Woodhouse is accessed off Cortworth Lane, directly opposite the end of Clayfield Lane.

On-site parking is available free of charge.


There are regular bus services to the village of Wentworth and train stations at Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, all with linking bus services (some may require a change to get to the village).

Once in the village the walk to the house is around a quarter of a mile. Visit Travel South Yorkshire to plan your journey.


Facilities

  • A large carpark on-site, simply follow the drive past the large Stable Block and the House will appear on your right. There is a large car park on hard standing near the wooded area.
  • Disabled parking for blue badge holders is located in marked bays in the main car park.
  • A regular accessible buggy service is in operation when the house is open to transport those with access needs to the House entrance.
  • Toilets in the main house and throughout the garden.
  • Baby Changing facilities located in main house.
  • Picnic benches and spots in the main gardens.
